Armageddon

Watched Armageddon this week... I finished watching it at night, and I was in bed, so hadn't updated this yet!

This was one of my favorite movies back when it came out. I had a poster of ben affleck in his astronaut suit! Lots of big names in this movie... My fave part is when they sing 'leaving on a jet plane' to liv taylor's character... they sound so good, hahaha.

since there are so many people in this movie that are in others, this should be easy.... i am going to go with Owen Wilson... hes in a few of my movies, but i am going with You, Me and Dupree! thats still quite a bit away... really, its the last movie i will watch!!

Anger Management

the second of my Adam Sandler movies :) i like this one, its funny! I haven't seen it in some time, so it made me laugh all over again!
my favorite part is the when he goes and confronts the guy who dropped his pants in elementary school... and now hes a monk. and jack pulls out a gun...squirt gun that is!! heheh
i watched it before bed last night, so i am having problems writing a review on a movie from last night!
Adam has all sorts of people in his movies that are in his other movies.. we are going with Jack Nicholson here though.. he's in a movie i am not excited about watching again... the departed. hated that damn movie and its coming.

American Pie 2

HOLY POTATOES! Fun movie. not as good as the first, which is normally the case... I have the original AmPie on VHS, which is why you dont see a review for it...
It's cool they had all the same players in this one as the first... the next had like 3 of the main characters... lame. Great movie...don't remember the last time I saw it, and not sure why because i enjoy it! Boys living up life between freshman and sophomore year at a beach house. Wish I had the chance to have done it when I was their age!
Michelle Flarity... love that girl. Back when the movie came out everyone said that I reminded them of her... Someone even gave me a "one time at band camp" tee shirt..still have it :) Back then I thought it was the stories or something.... but today, people tell me i look a lot like Alyson Hannigan... I get it a lot actually!
Love the soundtrack to this one too!
connecting the dots... stiffler! have to pick him b/c he's from MN! Seann William Scott is in a couple of my movies, but we are gonna go with Dude Where's My Car! heheeh...

Adventureland

This movie was nothing but lame. not impressed at all. I bought this movie at blockbuster...they were 4 for $20 I think. It was the last of the four movies i picked... and I wish i would have picked another. based out of the 80s its about a kid and his summer job after he graduates from college, before heading to NYC for grad school. The only thing good about this movie was Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader. their characters were the only thing that made me laugh.

oh, another thing that helped me thru this movie, ryan reynolds. he's pretty damn easy on the eyes!! Which brings me to my connecting the dots portion of the blog.. I have a bunch of movies with Ryan in... we will go with definitely, maybe... i have 22 movies to watch to get to that one...such a cute movie, can't wait!

Adventures in Babysitting

Okay so i just wiped out my whole being ahead of schedule.... Didn't watch one movie last week.. So I am starting out early here, watching Adventures in Babysitting. One of my favorite movies growing up... Should have watched this before going out for my birthday on 80's night... this could have helped me decide what to wear!

Funny going back and watching this movie, I saw something kind of funny... at the beginning when Sarah finds out Chris is babysitting her, she tells her brother Brad (who has a massive crush on Chris).... when she tells him, he is busy pouring a pot full of noodles into a strainer... on the cupboard! too funny...

Favorite quote #1. Chris "Don't f*ck with the babysitter"

Favorite quote #2. Brenda:"I don't have cash" Hot dog vendor: "then I don't have a wiener"

Favorite scene: When the crew sings "babysitting blues" (imagine that, another musical moment in a movie that is my fave part!)

and now, i want to start to connect the dots of my movies... so I chose one character in this movie that is another one of my movies... Chris' boyfriend Mike played by Bradley Whitford... he is also in my favorite Adam Sandler movie "Billy Madison"

50 first dates

One of my favorite Adam Sandler movies. Takes place in Hawaii, so it is a beautiful move to start out with. Then Henry (Adam) meets Lucy (Drew Barrymore) who has brain damage, and no short term memory. Henry spends the rest of the movie making Lucy fall in love with him on a daily basis. Super cute chick flick. if you haven't seen it, you should!

with being sick yesterday I got a good jump on this resolution... I am ahead of schedule at this point, but still have many more to go....

27 dresses

I love this movie. super cute, I love Katherine Heigl. I don't have anywhere close to 27 dresses in my closet, only two. five if you count my prom dresses. I am happy though, I think they would all mesh together if I did were in many more...

My favorite part of this movie is hands down when Jane and Kevin sing 'benny and the jets' at the hick bar! too funny. also interesting that my favorite parts of these movies all have to do with singing or dancing...

aaah counting cards. This is the 2nd time I have seen this movie, and I still don't have a clue how to count cards. Not that they flat out teach it, but from what they say, I just don't get it...

A group of kids from MIT are in a group that goes out to Vegas, to count cards and make some money. Ben, who is in his final year at MIT is trying his best to get a scholarship to Harvard Med School. As a back up plan he joins this group of kids to make the $300,000 he needs for Med School. He gets it, and then some... and then gets greedy and their ring leader (played by Kevin Spacey) turns against them and calls them in. BUSTED. While Ben is out trying to get the money back that he lost his Pof goes to Ben's dorm and takes all $315,000 that he'd made. I won't give away the ending if you haven't seen it, but its a great movie. Even though I still can't count cards.

I have watched 3 movies today... time to get back to Ally McBeal :)

AUH, what a cute movie. Love this one. I am pretty sure I hadn't seen this movie when I purchased it... It is one that I have in my travel DVD thingy, so it's one i'd watch over and over...

I love the soundtrack to this... Songs from the 80's, you can't go wrong!

Thirty Flirty and Thriving! It's a story about a girl (Jenna) who isn't having the best time at age 13, and wishes herself right to age 30. She wakes up as a 30 year old, thinking she's still 13. Rather cheesy, but it makes for a fun movie. My favorite part is the dance scene! Jenna is at a work party that is bombing, and decides to take things into her own hands.... She breaks out in the Thriller line dance...soon everyone, including her former bff Matty.

This movie introduced me to that very handsome man, Mark Ruffalo.. LOVE HIM!

Which reminds me.... I was going to say this in my first post about 8 mile... I am pretty sure every movie I own can be connected to another by the actors in it... I wish I had the time to connect them all, but I have enough on my plate!

10 Things I Hate About You

Stayed home sick today...thought I would get a movie or two in :) first up today, 10 Things... came out in 1999... I didn't see it then, but probably a couple years later while living with Cassie in IGH. She had it on VHS and told me I had to see it. It was love at first sight...totally fell for Heath Ledger!

It is a cute little High School movie, not much to it other than a boy, who wants to date a girl who can't go out unless her sister dates... Boy gets another boy to bribe another boy to take out girls sister. of course sister finds out the boy that takes her out (whom she's fallen for) was paid to take her out and is devastated. she then reads a poem "10 things i hate about you" and reveals she still loves him. tah-dah! of course in the end they all are happily with their boys.

my FAVE part of the movie is when Heath sings "cant take my eye's off you" to sister in the middle of soccer practice! so cute.

8 Mile

So I watched my first movie... it took me 2 nights to finish, got most of the way through 8 Mile the other night before I fell asleep...

This is one of those movies I bought long ago, and hadn't seen the movies before the purchase. I haven't seen it probably since the day I bought it!! Anyway, I loved Em at the time, and here he was in this movie... Brittany Murphy is also in it, random that she's in the first movie I watch and she just passed a week or two ago. So young!

The movie is decent.. all about 'B Rabbit' and his struggles to become a rapper i guess... best scene is the last one in the movie where he gets onstage and takes down 3 others from some rapping contest the shelter is having... the part that makes me laugh is when Rabbit and his buddy is fixing the car Rabbits mom gave him for his birthday... and they start making up new words to "sweet home alabama"

I pretty much think that i won't be watching this again, unless i make another goofy resolution like this one...

Okay in doing my New Years Resolutions over on MSCL blog.... I have come up with yet another blog idea.... I am going to watch all of my movies on DVD in a year....then blog about it right here... I am just about to start watching my first movie this year.... 8 Mile. I will write after every viewing :)
